Jordon “J-Ibe” Berahino is set to leave Liverpool in a £15m deal, according to a report in German newspaper Kicker.
The Liverpool winger, 26, has had a successful season and scored 12 goals in the Premier League, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the League Cup last week.
However, his agent Sergio Berahinos told Kicker that the player has been left “in limbo” by Liverpool over his future, despite having a release clause of £35 million.
Liverpool are currently holding out for around £20m and have yet to agree a deal for Ibe.
While Berahinos claims the striker is on his way out, Liverpool’s chief executive Ian Ayre told Sky Sports that the club have “nothing to offer”.
“There is nothing to say,” Ayre said.
“We have to keep this process under wraps until everything is sorted.”
If we could get that figure, we would be delighted.
If he is not happy, we will find a solution.”
The move is expected to come as early as today.
